How does a Vellabox membership work?I just signed up for a Vellabox subscription! We make things pretty easy! Once you subscribe, health conscious candles will be delivered exclusively to your door each month.
It depends on what type of subscription you choose. We offer three levels of subscriptions: The Standard, The Aficionado and The Luxe. If you’re a subscriber of the The Standard box, you will receive one candle (approximately 4 ounces) each month. If you are a subscriber of the The Aficionado box, you will receive one candle (approximately 8 ounces) each month. If you are a subscriber of the The Luxe box, you will receive two candles (totaling approximately 12 ounces) each month. The candles are hand-picked by our Vellabox Candle Curator and are always all-natural, non-toxic, and clean burning. You will also find a special bonus gift in your box each month along those same health forward lines.
At this time we do not ship outside of the US, but have plans for expansion in the near future.
Absolutely not! The only outside fee we have is the required sales tax for California residents as we are based out of Los Angeles, CA.
Once you sign up for a monthly membership, all boxes will ship on the 5th of each month. For new subscribers we will be flexible to ensure as many customers as possible can receive the current months box. Therefore, if you sign up after the 5th, but before the 20th we will ship you that month’s box.
You will be billed for your first box immediately when you sign up. After your first month, you will be billed on the 1st of each month going forward, and our boxes will ship on the 5th of the month.
So sorry! We do not offer the option to purchase an individual Vellabox.
If you’ve subscribed to our monthly membership, you can cancel at any time. To cancel your subscription you must login to your account and click “Cancel” in the “My Subscriptions” section. If you have any trouble canceling on the website, please call or email us and we will do it for you. If you cancel after your box has shipped that month, you will still receive your box but will not be charged for any additional months.

Our Vellabox Candle Curator has some strict guidelines that she adheres to when choosing candles to place in the box. In order to continue along the same health conscious guidelines the company was built on, we do not place beeswax candles in the box in order to stay as vegan as possible. A lot of what you’ll find in our box are soy, coconut or vegetable based waxes. We do not place paraffin candles in the box nor do we allow lead wicks. When possible, we look for candles scented with 100% essential oils, but will allow for phthalate-free fragrances.
