How did Radiant Candle Co. get started?
Hi! We’re Rachel & Jenny, two friends who first learned to make candles together back in 2018. We loved everything about the experience of candle making. It was something fun to do together mixed with how the warm glow and delightful scents can elevate an experience and create a memorable moment. After giving some candles as gifts, friends started to ask if they could purchase some from us and that’s where the idea for Radiant Candle Co. began!
The holiday season is our absolute favorite for lighting candles in our home! The coziness of a flame and comfort of familiar scents are so special. There are so many moments shared by family and friends in the holiday season that are elevated through scent!
Can you describe the candles featured in this month’s Vellabox?
We love a good pine candle! Our Deck the Halls scent was inspired by memories of decorating our homes with the smell of a fresh cut tree as the backdrop. Notes of lemon peel, fire and evergreen.
Holiday Cheer is a bright candle that we hope captures the feeling of gathering with people! Notes of pomegranate, rosemary and peppermint.
The end of each year can be filled with a lot of stress, checklists and full calendars. We wanted to capture a scent that would help us and others allow for a pause. Enter, our Peace candle. Notes of juniper, balsam and cypress.

What is your favorite candle that you’ve created?
We get asked what our favorite scent is all the time! Although it changes based on the season, our year-round favorite is the Joy candle. We love the fresh, clean scent and the meaning behind it – adding small moments of joy to our everyday lives!
What values or pillars does your business take pride in?
We are proud of creating hand-poured candles with ingredients you can trust. What sets us apart is softly scented candles with minimalist design!
We also value relationships here at Radiant Candle Co. One of the most delightfully unexpected results of this business has been building relationships, both with other small businesses and our customers! And we are blown away by how supportive our customers are!
How do you get in the holiday spirit?
Jenny loves turning on the fireplace and watching a Christmas movie in the evenings. Meanwhile, Rachel enjoys shopping for her family and wrapping gifts. Happy Holidays friends!
